I enjoyed reading this 234 page book. Though I do not personally know the de Jong family, this book takes you from their early days in Holland to America as they pursued their dream in the dairy industry. Very interesting, many old black and white pictures to give you an idea of their life story. Very well written.

An interesting story with numerous anecdotes from the de Jong family detailing their rise from poverty in Holland to a successful dairy enterprise in southern California. It would appeal to those familiar with the family and the dairy or those just interested in the history of Holland during WWII, the struggles of immigration and the effort to succeed in a new country.
